Vivian Hilfer was crowned the 2025 homecoming queen while Mason Kluntz was crowned king this morning during a coronation ceremony in the school auditorium.
The coronation put a busy homecoming week in motion.
Hilfer, the daughter of Paul and Julie Hilfer, is active in dance, track & field, National Honor Society and Student Council.
Kluntz is the son of John and Jennifer Kluntz. He participates in football and basketball.
The pair will be out front in the homecoming parade, which will roll through town starting at 2:15 p.m. on Friday with a pep fest before in the new gym starting at 1:45.
Members of the homecoming court are candidates Carter Kern, Elijah Mons, Martavis Williams Jr., Mollie Bowman, Anna Kawatski-Klein and Docota Lotspeich as well as second grade princess Jordie Seely, second-grade prince Logan Groebner and coronation emcees Samantha Baker and Gavin Karels.
Back this year is a tailgate dinner before Friday's homecoming football game: taco in a bag. Hosted by the Student Council, the event, which takes place in the parking lot behind the school starting at 5:00 p.m. and lasts until game time, will also include face painting and lawn games.

After the crowning, Elijah Mons had a wardrobe malfunction. Eventually, Samantha Baker came around and helped him adjust his sash.
