Brady Bostic goes after the ball

Sleepy Eye rolled over the B-squad boys 50-18 during the tournant at Bethany College on Saturday.

On Friday, the Clippers lost to Granada-Huntley-East Chain/Truman/Martin Luther in Northrop 57-27.

The Jaguars stole and scored on a layup for the start of the first 10 points. Nathan Strobel took a in-bounds pass up and in for a basket to break up the run and get the Clippers on the board.

The Jags posted the next 11 points before Bode Bartell bombed a three. Later, Bartell hit a jumper, but the Jaguars followed with the final basket of the half to lead 28-7.

Continuing to roll, the Jaguars scored the first 28 points of the second half. Nathan Brink made a three from the corner to interrupt the scoring frenzy. Later, Nathan Seeman hit a three, Mason Kluntz put in a free basket, and Daniel McClune and Dakota Alitz each scored from the floor.

With five points, Bartell led the Clippers. Seeman and Brink each had three points. Strobel, McClune and Alitz each put in a basket.  

In Northrop, Strobel and Gavin Karels each put in a three in the first half, Alex Johnson scored twice from the floor, and the Clippers trailed the Jaguars 18-10 the break.

Karels and Kluntz each had six points in the effort. Strobel had five points. Johnson had four points. Brady Bostic and Jordan Schmidt each added three points.

Karels put in a pair of threes. Strobel and Bostic each had a three. The Clippers made a fourth of their dozen foul shots. The Jaguars posted six threes and were four of eight from the foul line.

The B boys take on Nicollet tonight (Tuesday).
