$4500 check presentation

With 90 golfers and 35 sponsors, the 43 annual Cleveland Open golf tournament, held at Shoreland Country Club on August 8, raised $4500 for Cleveland High School athletic programs, $1000 more than last year’s open.

Helping with games on the holes were student athletes Mariah McCabe, Greta Hahn, Chloe Anderson, Ava Hahn, Kale Kelley, Blake Lyons, Kyle Connor and Carson Lyons.

Black and Orange Sponsors, those that donated $500 or more, were North Star Aviation, HomeTown Insurance Agency and the Sheriff’s Youth Project of LeSueur County.

“I am thankful to all of the players, our hole sponsors and businesses that donated door prizes,” said Jennifer Schmidt, who coordinated the open.
