Aaron Rogers

When new physical education & health teacher Aaron Rogers mentions his name, it is sure to raise an eyebrow, but his career has been in teaching and not professional football.

And his classrooms have spanned the globe. He taught in Lakefield, MN; Rome, Italy; Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and Tokyo, Japan before landing in Cleveland.

Rogers was raised and graduated from high school in Wessington Spring, SD, a couple hours northwest of Sioux Falls. His high school principal influenced his choice to go into education.

He attended university at Southwest State in Marshall and then Mankato State University.

Rogers drove bus for Cleveland school last year and decided to up his role because of the “fantastic” people, both students and teachers.

His wife teaches and coaches in New Ulm Public school. Their three children have graduated form college and work in Minnesota and Colorado.

When he is not in the classroom, Rogers enjoys woodworking, gardening, cooking and outdoor sports.
