The JV boys who play on the varsity team as well avenged Friday’s loss at Randolph by beating the visiting Rockets 26-0 on Tuesday.
Quarterback Sam Ternes recovered from a bad snap and completed a short pass to Nathan Seeman for the game’s first touchdown (above). The Rockets sacked Ternes on the PAT throw, but the Clippers were in front 6-0 in Q2.
Later, Ternes and Seeman hooked up again on fourth and 8 to put the Clippers up 12-0.
In the third quarter, Tanner Simonette hauled in a 9-yard pass and ran 5 more for a score. With the Caleb Possin PAT boot, the Clippers were comfortably ahead 19-0.
With a 40-yard Simonette punt return to the house and another Possin point-after kick with 10 minutes left in Q4, the Clippers sealed the triumph.
The JV Clippers are slated to take on NYA on Monday.
