Delaney Thompson drive

Lake Crystal-Wellcome Memorial whipped up on the B girls on Friday in a 33-14 stomping.

The Knights went on the steal early to go in front 11-2. Mollie Bowman stole and scored after a coast-to-coast drive for the Clipper points.

But a pair of baskets and a pair of free shots from Taylor McCabe accounted for the only other Clipper points in the first half, and the Knights were comfortably in front 23-8 at the intermission.

Kaitlyn Flowers scored on a jumper early in the second half and then drove inside for two more points. Delaney Thompson took an in-bounds pass up an in, but that was it for Clipper scoring.

McCabe, who only played in the first half, made the only trip to the foul line for the Clippers. The Knights put in one three-point basket and were two of six in free throw shooting.

The B girls travel to St. Clair tonight (Thursday).
