Hitting their stride, the Clippers racked up three-straight wins: 36-6 over visiting Alden-Conger on Tuesday, 32-8 over Le Sueur-Henderson in Le Sueur last Friday, and 23-20 over visiting Martin Luther/Granada-Huntley-East Chain/Truman a day before that.

After Tony Hollerich and Jeremy Miller each scored two points and Jack Mons scored six points, the Clippers were in front of Alden-Conger 10-0 when the Knights got on the board with a free throw.

Miller drove in for a layup, assisted Mons for a bucket under the rim and then took a Lucas Kortuem toss in for a layup. The Knights pulled down an offensive rebound and put it up for the last basket of the half but the Clippers had a healthy 16-3 lead at the break.

The second half was similar with the Clippers outscoring their opponent 17-3.

Gauge Bock put in a layup for the first basket of the second half. Mons, scoring at will, drove in four more baskets, and, all alone under the net, Miller scored again. Later, Pierce Lyons put in a layup, Bock bagged a jumper, and Kortuem sunk a free throw to put the finishing touches on the triumph.

Mons added 16 more points to his résumé. Miller totaled eight points. Bock and Hollerich each had four points.

Against the Giants in Le Sueur, Mons dropped in four baskets in the first half. Bock added three baskets, including one after he stole and drove the floor for a layup that gave the Clippers a 21-2 lead at the break.

Cleveland outscored the Giants 10-6 in the second half.

With 10 points, Mons marched the Clippers. Bock totaled six points. Hollerich had three points. Pierce Lyons and Jake Mueller each made a basket. Miller had four points, and Kortuem contributed five points.

Against ML/GHEC/T, the Jaguars scored to pull within a basket with a few seconds left, but fouled quickly, Hollerich, who led the Clippers with nine points, made the second of a pair of free throws, and the Clippers held on.

Kortuem, Mons and Bock each scored four points. Lyons had two points.

The seventh-grade boys will look to add another when they road trip to St. Clair tomorrow (Friday). They return to their home court on Monday when they take on Martin County West.
