Arbor Linder with ball

With a perfect 7-0 regular season, it wasn’t a huge surprise that the 4th-grade Community Education basketball girls paraded through their end-of-the-season tournament on Saturday, easily winning all three of their games to take home the top prize.

The Clippers started the day at Mankato Christian Academy with a 23-7 victory over Mankato Loyola.

A wrecking ball throughout the tournament, Arbor Linder (above) racked up 13 points, snatched two rebounds and grasped eight steals against the Crusaders.

Meanwhile, Lexi Wobbrock scored six points, clutched six rebounds and made one steal. Addyson Hoffmann had six rebounds and five steals. Ruby Page hauled in one rebound. Jayda Roemhildt had three points and one steal. Breanna Bosse had one point, one rebound and six steals. Kenzie Sandhurst had three rebounds and two steals.

Next, the Clippers stomped over Lake Crystal-Wellcome Memorial 25-3.

Linder put up eight points, grabbed 11 steals and tugged down one rebound against the Knights. Wobbrock had seven points, three rebounds and one steal. Hoffmann had two points and two each of steals and rebounds. Roemhildt had six points, five rebounds and one steal. Page had one rebound. Bosse had two points, four rebounds and one steal. Sandhurst had five rebounds.

Finally, after leading 17-6 at the break, the Clippers beat Maple River 24-12 in the tournament championship.

Saving her best effort for last, Linder went on a terror for a double-double: 19 points and 11 steals. She also gripped four rebounds.

Wobbrock racked up 10 points, towed six rebounds and swiped the ball three times. Hoffmann had two points, two rebounds and three steals. Roemhildt had three rebounds. Page had one point and one rebound. Bosse had six rebounds and three steals. Sandhurst grabbed five rebounds.
