Savannah Meyer was crowned the 2024 homecoming queen while Blake Lyons was crowned king during the coronation ceremony this morning.
Putting the Clippers’ homecoming week in motion, the event was held in the auditorium.
Meyer, the daughter of Bree and Bob Meyer, is active in volleyball, track & field, National Honor Society and Student Council.
Lyons is the son of Pete Lyons and Candace Lyons. He participates in football, basketball, baseball and NHS.
The pair will be out front in the homecoming parade, which will roll through town starting at 2:15 p.m. on Friday with a pep fest before in the new gym starting at 1:30.
Back this year is a tailgate dinner before the homecoming football game: burger or hotdog, chips and a drink. Hosted by the Student Council, the event, which takes place in the parking lot behind the school starting at 5:00 p.m. and lasts until game time, will also include face painting, a bake sale and cornhole.
Dress up days are today (Monday): ’Merica Day (RWB) for high school students and Twin Day for K-6; Tuesday: Tourist Tuesday for HS and PJ Day for K-6; Wednesday: Worldwide Sports (jersey); Thursday: Olympic Ring (12th-black, 11th-green, 10th-blue, 9th-red, 7th and 8th-yellow) and student teacher swap for K-6 and Friday: White Out for HS and School Spirit for K-6.

After the coronation, the homecoming court unwound by moving to Da’ Dip by Freak Nasty.
