kids at plant sale

Just in time for Mother’s Day, the FFA is holding its plant sale this weekend.

Petunias, dahlias, geraniums, coleus…herbs and vegetables…petunia and fuchsia hanging baskets and patio pots…are all on sale in the greenhouse, located on the north side of the school

Business was brisk when the sale began today at 1:00. It lasts until 4:00 p.m. today and goes from 9:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. tomorrow and from 9:00 a.m. until noon on Sunday.

Students in the Horticulture class—including Marshall Heldberg, Vanessa Wondra, Dacota Lotspeich, Curtis David and Emma Bluhm—raised the plants, all 700 of them, from plugs, which they planted in February.

The Booster Club purchased the young plants.

Funds raised will go towards FFA trips and competitions.
