Chase Roemhildt shooting

Upping his last week’s score by 18 points for his best effort of the season, Chase Roemhildt (above) led the Clipper trap team on Wednesday.

With rounds of 22 and 21, the seventh grader fought through the strong and swirling headwind at Caribou Gun Club with 43 points.

Overall, the average score was 37.2, down 0.2 points from last week.

With a 42, Colton Tousley was just behind Roemhildt. Knocking down 41 targets were Marshall Heldberg and Jake Mueller. Gauge Bock scored a 40 while his brother Chase Bock scored a 37.

Getting shots off quicker was key to being successful in the wind, Chase Bock said.

In his best effort of the season and a 13-point improvement over his last week’s score, Carter Kern also shot a 37.

With 36s were Tony Hollerich, Brayden Seeman and Blake Stocker while Cole Stocker shot a 35. Deandra Doerr, Brunson Gibbs, Oliva Reinhardt and John Ritchie all posted a 34.

Urijah Hoheisel grounded 33 clay discs. Austin Anderley, Kayla Bauer, Ethan Lloyd, Tyler Smith and Ben Traxler all scored a 31. Setting a PR, Jaquelyn Heldberg also shot a 31.

Graham Reinhardt scored a 28. Henry Boelter shot a 25. Nolan Schlaak and Brock Pugh each shot a 24. Sawyer Roemhildt shot a 20, while Brennon Holicky scored a 15.

The Clipper trap team will take aim again on Wednesday in its last regular season shoot.
