Lt. Colonel Joseph Sanganoo of the Minnesota Army National Guard will present the address at the Memorial Day Ceremony.
The event will take place on Monday, May 26 at 10:30 a.m. at the Calvary Cemetery, just southeast of Cleveland on Scotch Lake.
Sanganoo has served for 33 years in the Minnesota Army National Guard; 11 years as an enlisted Soldier and 22 years as an officer.
Previous assignments include tank platoon leader, mortar platoon leader, Company Commander, Battalion Executive Officer, Camp Ripley Training Center Operations Officer, 34th Infantry Division Deputy Operations Officer, and 1/34th Armored Brigade Combat Team Executive Officer.
He has deployed to Bosnia, and to the Middle East on two separate occasions. He is currently assigned as the Joint Prevention and Support Services Chief for the Minnesota Army National Guard. In this role, he provides supervision and oversight for programs focused on soldier and family member well-being.
Also during the program, Andy Queen will lead the Pledge of Allegiance.
Legion chaplain Eric Hansen will give the invocation and benediction and honor the deceased.
Representatives from Legion Post 207, Auxiliary Unit 207 and the Sons of the American Legion 207 will place the memorial wreaths.
Cleveland Cub Scouts Pack 15 will post and retire the colors while Boy Scout Troop 68 will perform the flag-folding ceremony.
Directed by Erik Hermanson, the Junior High Select Band will provide music. Eighth grader August Keltgen will play taps.
