Trap shooters

With rounds of 23 and 24, Blake Stocker was the top gun at the Clipper trap shooting team’s final competition shoot last Wednesday. The eighth grader improved his score from last week by 11 points.

Overall, with perfect conditions for taking aim at the Caribou Gun Club, it was a good day for the Clippers as they achieved their highest average score of the year: 33.8.

Tony Hollerich and Colton Tousley each brought down 42 targets. Gauge Bock and his brother Chase Bock each scored a 40 as did Cole Stocker and, with his best score of the  year, Urijah Hoheisel. With 39s were Marshall Heldberg and John Ritchie.

Jake Mueller, Brayden Seeman and Ben Traxler all connected with 38 discs. Henry Boelter and Kendra Zimmerman each scored a 36. Boelter also improved his last week’s score by 11.

With 35s were Oliva Reinhardt, Kayla Bauer and Ethan Lloyd.

Steve Giebel fought through a gun malfunction and scored a 34. Austin Anderley broke up 32 clays. With 31s were Carter Kern, Brunson Gibbs, Deandra Doerr, Graham Reinhardt, and Sawyer Roemhildt. Roemhildt improved by 11 from a week ago.

Chase Roemhildt slipped from his top spot last week to 29. Tyler Smith shot a 28. Jacquelyn Heldberg shot a 25, Nolan Schlack shot a 22, and Brock Pugh shot a 20.

Today (Wednesday), the Clipper trap team holds its awards banquet and has a fun shoot.
