Starting their season with a win, the C boys defeated host Madelia 42-34 on Tuesday.
The Clippers spread out their 17 first-half points among six players. Meanwhile, their defense held the Blackhawks to nine points.
With 14 points, Luke Kortuem led the effort. Brayden Seeman had eight points as did Creidin Lee. Pierce Lyons contributed six points. Jake Mueller put in a basket each half for four total points. Jeremy Miller chipped in a bucket, which came in the first half. Seeman, Kortuem and Lee each buried a pair of threes.
Madelia scored 12 points from behind the arc and made two of 10 free throws. The Clippers never made a trip to the foul line.
The C Clippers will look for two in a row when they host Nicollet tonight (Friday).
