Continuing with on the victory path, the B boys downed host Mankato Loyola 39-28 on Monday.

Charlie Perkins bagged a three for the game’s first basket, and the Clippers never trailed form there.

Jack Mons took a Luke Heldberg steal and assist in for a bucket, Tony Hollerich parked a jumper, Heldberg scored inside after a couple of Clipper offensive rebounds, Jack Anderson stole and scored, and Heldberg canned a three for a 17-2 Clipper advantage midway through the first half.

The Crusaders rallied for five points after that, including a free throw, a two and a three, but Mons held a shooting clinic from there with a running jump shot, a floater, a three from the corner and a basket from the baseline for nine points and a 23-12 Clipper lead at the break.

Mons left the game at halftime, but Wyatt Krenik buried a three for the first Clipper basket of the second half. Perkins added two buckets from the floor, Anderson hit a jumper, Zander Linder got into the action with a running jump basket from the paint, and Henry Boelter sunk a free throw before scoring from under the rim for the game’s final basket.

With 13 points in one half played, Mons paced the Clippers. Perkins totaled seven points. Krenik contributed five points. Heldberg had five points before checking out at the break. Boelter added three points. Linder, Anderson and Hollerich each had two points.

Krenik, Heldberg, Mons and Perkins each made a three. Boelter was the only Clipper to go to the foul line and made one of two shots from there. Loyola put in one three pointer and one of four free throws.

The C boys will look to extend their record to 4-0 when they host Alden-Conger/Glenville-Emmons on Thursday. They travel to Medford on Friday.
