Now off to a 3-0 start, the JV girls beat visiting Janesville-Waldorf-Pemberton on Tuesday.

Back-to-back Natalie Flowers kills followed by a Sierra Lotspeich ace serve early in game one put the Clippers in front 5-1.

The Bulldogs revved up their offense for three kills to pull within two, 6-4, before serving into the net, and with an Ava Kluntz kill followed by a Valentina Rohlfing ace serve, the Clippers went in front 9-4.

Flowers swung for a kill and served and ace, and Lotspeich and Rohlfing added kills for a 14-7 Clipper lead, and with aa couple of Bulldog errors and a Kenzie Kortuem kill, the Clippers led 17-9.

But JWP came up with three kills and an ace serve in a five-point spurt to pull within three, 17-14. After two more kills, the Bulldogs trimmed their deficit to two, 18-16. But they had trouble keeping the ball in play after, and with a Flowers service ace for a 22-17 Clipper lead, Lotspeich hammered a winner for a 25-19 Clipper victory.

With a kill and a pair of ace serve, Kortuem went to work early in game two to put the Clipper up 4-2, but the Bulldogs took advantage of a three kills, a pair of ace serves and Clipper errors to lead 11-8 before sending a serve into the webbing.

Continuing what would be a 10-point run, Kluntz followed a Mattea Grandaw kill to deadlock the game at 11. With a pair of Kortuem kills, a Hadley Thompson ace serve and a Kluntz kill and ace block, the Clippers lead 18-11.

Down the stretch, Kortuem dispatched an ace serve, and Grandaw spiked another winner before the game ended 25-15 on an Emma Kortuem kill.

Kenzie Kortuem totaled four kills. Kluntz swung for three kills. Grandaw hit two winners. Lotspeich had two kills. Emma Kortuem had two kills. Flowers had three kills. Rohlfing had one kill. Brooke Bosse had three kills. Thompson set up 17 points.

Sierra Lotspeich had nine digs. Thompson and Cheyenne Lotspeich each elevated four digs. Kaelyn Blaschko scooped three digs. Flowers, Rohlfing and Clara Hilfer each lifted two digs. Anna Lamont and Bosse each raised one dig.

Kenzie Kortuem stretched for two solo ace blocks and three ace block assists. Emma Kortuem leaped for two solo ace blocks. Lamont, Kluntz and Flowers each assisted an ace block.
