Visiting Sleepy Eye put up a good fight against the C girls on Thursday, but the Clippers overcame deficits to win the match, 25-20, 25-20.

Lily McMillen served an ace for the first point of game two, After four Clipper errors, Kylie Wobbrock bumped over a winner, but the Storm took advantage of three more Clipper miscues to lead 6-2.
After the Storm couldn’t assemble a return, Wobbrock sent over back-to-back ace serves. Later, Heldberg swung for a kill, but the Storm scored the next four points, two of them coming from the service line, for a 13-7 advantage.
After an Anistyn Dauk service ace and a Wobbrock kill, the Clippers trimmed their deficit to two. McMillen won a skirmish at the net to put the Clippers within one before she bumped into an open section of Sleepy Eye floor to deadlock the game at 14.
On a Dauk ace serve, the Clippers took a 15-14 lead and never trailed from there. The game ended on an Addison Sandhurst kill.
The C girls host Lake Crystal-Wellcome Memorial today (Tuesday) at 4:30 p.m.
