Quickly getting a game in the win column after a narrow loss to USC last week, the junior high boys steamrolled over visiting Le Sueur-Henderson on Tuesday, 46 to zippo.
The Clippers excelled on both sides of the ball, said coach Jesse Hastings.
“After a good week of practice, the team came out on fire. Starting with the first snap, we played extremely well on defense, firing off the ball and with Charlie Mons and the defensive line setting the tone. Offensively the line protected our QBs extremely well.”
Throwing four TD passes, quarterback Kyle Rain took advantage of the time in the backfield. Two of them went to Colter O'Keefe while Mons and Will Tarkey each hauled in one Rain TD toss.
Trading places, Tarkey threw a TD pass to Rain as well as to Talan Samuelson.
“Hats off to both the defensive and offensive lines for setting the tone for the entire game,” Hastings said.
The JH Clippers return to action on Monday when they road trip to Madelia.
