Kaitlyn Flowers was crowned the 2026 homecoming queen, and Carson Lyons was crowned king this morning during a coronation ceremony in the school auditorium.
The coronation sets a busy homecoming week in motion.
Flowers, the daughter of Dan and Patty Flowers, is active in volleyball, basketball and softball.
Lyons, the son of Pete and Candace Lyons, participates in football, basketball, baseball, track, Student Council and Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA). He is a member of the National Honor Society.
The pair will be out front in the homecoming parade, which will roll through town starting at 2:15 p.m. on Friday with a pep fest before in the new gym starting at 1:45.
The homecoming court also includes queen candidates Taylor McCabe, Amelia Chmiel, and Delaney Thompson and king candidates Caleb Connor, Braeden Smith and Aiden Domras as well as the second-grade princess Nahlee Hoisington and prince Ryan Stocker and coronation emcees Sajen Grandaw and Tanner Simonette.
Due to road construction around the school, the floats will start the procession at the softball field parking lot and advance the one block north on 8th street before heading west on Broadway towards downtown.
There will be a taco-in-a-bag and baked goods tailgate dinner served before the football game starting at 5:00 p.m.
