Still looking for a win this season, the Clipper B girls fell 34-13 in Nicollet on Thursday after losing at home on Tuesday 45-17 to non-conference Tri-City United.

A basket by Greta Hahn and a free throw from Mariah McCabe were the only Cleveland points in the first half against Nicollet/Loyola. Meanwhile, the Raiders posted 17 points.

But the Clippers started to gel as the second half spun down. With 6:20 left, McCabe drove in for the Clippers’ first basket of the second half. Sam Wondra (above) followed up with a basket, and later Micah Peterson scored. Hahn made the last two baskets for the Clippers, both jump shots.

Against TCU, Peterson looped in a three for the first Clipper basket. Hahn also had a basket in the first half, but the rest were from McCabe. TCU led 28-11 at the break. McCabe, who totaled a dozen points, made a three pointer and a basket with an ensuing foul shot for the Clippers’ only points in the second half.
