We are gearing up for another exciting year.  Yes, there were challenges last year, and there will be challenges again this year; however, we are committed to providing all of our students exciting and enriching educational and co-curricular experiences.

Thank you for the new building - we love it!

We are excited to be in the new addition and can’t wait to see some of our newest programs, such as Ag Tech and Elementary Music, in action. Please join us for our dedication ceremony on Friday, September 10th, at 6:00 p.m. in the new gym.

I do want to acknowledge the work and commitment from staff, parents and students, who rolled up their sleeves and were instrumental in making the best of what last year threw at us.

I also want to recognize the men and women who have been working throughout the summer to get everything ready for the start of the new year:  the front office staff, our administrators, food service, transportation, health services, and especially George and his custodial crew for all their hard work in getting the buildings and grounds ready.

As usual, a number of new students and staff will be joining our Clipper family and we look forward to welcoming them.  We are proud of the service we provide our families and students.  We are a dedicated staff, committed to service and friendly hospitality throughout the entire building.

Our service is what we do and our hospitality is how we do it.

I like sharing this quote from one of our members of the community.  It encapsulates our set of beliefs.

“Cleveland is a school where it is cool to be smart, cool to work hard and cool to be yourself.  It is as exciting as it is challenging; as fun as it is hard working.  Cleveland School is a place where discovery is applauded, relationships are built, and students are more than a number.  Since its inception in 1914, Cleveland has educated students through a comfortable blend of academics, arts, and athletics.  With a focus on small class size, the curriculum is traditional in its roots, yet innovative in approach, fostering healthy and lifetime skills.  Students here are encouraged to take risks, discover their talents and tap into the energy of school life.”

Thank you for sending your kids to our school.  We are a staff committed to meeting our mission: “Inspire, Learn, Grow, Achieve - a community where students and relationships matter.”

We look forward to greeting all of you in-person - with our friendly smiles.  Enjoy the remainder of your summer with family and friends and we will see you soon!
