Cleveland students are taking a walk through the land of Doctor Suess’s “How the Grinch Stole Christmas” this holiday season as the food service staff transformed the school cafeteria into Whoville, the town of the festive and warmhearted “Whos.”

Evoking the cynical, potbellied, green-furred Grinch, head chef Monica Manzey and company featured green frosted cinnamon rolls for breakfast today. For lunch, it was “Grinch soup” and “moldy cheese sandwiches.”

Whoville will be open the rest of the month.

Cook Pauline Kinson-Wilmes dished out hundreds of green frosted cinnamon rolls for breakfast today.

Complete with a Who hairdo, cook Nina Williams checks a student through the breakfast line.

Cook Lisa Behsman prepares the “Grinch soup” for today’s lunch.

Motifs from “How the Grinch Stole Christmas” plastered the cafeteria walls.

Some students got into the festive spirit as well.
