Ethan Fuller

The B-Squad boys season came to an end on Tuesday with a 37-26 loss to visiting Lester Prairie.

On a second effort, Ethan Fuller (above) put up a jumper from the paint for the Clippers’ first basket. After a Bulldog basket from the free-throw line, the senior grabbed another offensive rebound and sent it through the net to tie the game 4-4.

The Bulldogs responded with a three for a lead they would never relinquish. Kale Kelley stole and drove the floor for a layup and followed it with a jumper from the baseline, but with another three, the Bulldogs maintained a 14-9 advantage.

After putting in four more baskets, Fuller, a senior, departed at the break to devote his allotted time to the varsity. Blake Lyons, who also signed out at halftime, put in the last bucket of the frame, and the Clippers trailed 21-19 at the half.

Brady Bostic and Kyle Connor made buckets early in the second half to keep the Clippers within a point, 25-24, but Lester Prairie broke away after that while limiting the Clippers to just three more points. Carson Lyons drove to the hoop for the Clippers’ final basket.

Fuller led the effort with a dozen points. Kelley added five points. The Lyons brothers, Connor and Bostic each had two points. Gabe Sullivan chipped in a point before his halftime departure.

The Clippers made two of 11 free shots and no threes. The Bulldogs were nine of 23 from the foul line and put in a trio of three-point baskets.
