Gavin Karels drive at Nicollet

Visiting Sleepy Eye Public downed the Clipper B-squad boys 51-21 on Monday. A day later the B Clippers fell 26-16 to host Nicollet.

The Indians led 29-11 at the break. Nathan Strobel had eight baskets in the frame. Bode Bartell added a pair of freebies.

Jordan Schmidt scored twice from the floor in the second half. Dakota Alitz, Alex Johnson and Strobel each put in one basket. Gavin Karels added a free shot.  

The Clippers made three of eight free shots and no threes. The Indians dropped in a pair of threes and were five of 12 from the foul line.

Against the Raiders, a Bartell three and a Mason Kluntz free shot were the only Clipper points in the first half. Nicollet led 14-3 at the intermission.

Strobel scored four second-half baskets. Bartell and Schmidt each had a basket, and Kluntz chipped in a free throw.

The Clippers made one of six free-throw attempts. Nicollet made four three-point shots and was two of five from the foul line.

The Clipper B boys return to action today (Friday) when they host Granada-Huntley-East Chain/Truman/Martin Luther.
