Wyatt Krenik drive

Visiting Le Sueur-Henderson wasn’t a ton of trouble for the seventh-grade boys on Monday in a 32-12 triumph.

“They were patient, they ran the offensive well, and they played defense well, which they always do,” said coach Nancy Heldberg.

Garett Heldberg put in the game’s first basket. Wyatt Krenik (above) followed with bucket, Jack Anderson  buried a jump shot from near the top of the key, Krenik dumped in a layup and Heldberg hit a jumper before the Giants got on the scoreboard with a three.

That was it for LSH in the half. Luke Heldberg made the first of two free shots, and Carsyn Ryg rebounded the second and put it back up and in, and the Clippers were out front 13-3 at the break.

Aiden Domras put in the first bucket of the second half. Anderson made a pair of freebies, Domras put in a jumper. Garrett Heldberg arced in a three, and then a two, and Ethan Hoehn scored twice before LSH made a second half basket.

Luke Heldberg, Krenik and Hoehn had baskets down the stretch.

Garrett Heldberg led the effort with nine points. Krenik had six points. Anderson, Hoehn and Domras each added four points. Luke Heldberg posted three points, and Ryg chipped in two points.
