Taylor McCabe drives to the basket

Taylor McCabe (on the drive above) made a free throw for the only point in the first half, and host Janesville-Waldorf-Pemberton went on to crush the B-squad girls 45-9 on Tuesday.

The Clippers were coming off a 39-22 win at Madelia on the Thursday before.

Lacey McCabe off the bench, Taylor McCabe, Addi Holden and Mollie Bowman each made a basket from the floor in the second half.

The Clippers missed all eight free-throw chances they had in the second half and were one and 10 overall from the foul line. The Bulldogs had one three and were four of 10 in free throw shooting.

At Madelia, Holden scored a trio of baskets from the floor and a three to lead the Clippers in the first half. Delaney Thompson had a pair of twos, Samantha Baker put in a basket, Bowman made a pair of free shots, and the Clippers led 22-12 at the break.

Lacey McCabe took the floor in the second half and put in a trio of two-point baskets. Thompson, Taylor McCabe, Holden and Bowman each had a basket. The McCabe sisters and Bowman each sunk a free shot.

Holden and Thompson each were in double figures with 11 points. Lacey McCabe totaled seven points, and Bowman had five points. Taylor McCabe added three points. Baker chipped in two points.

Holden had the Clippers’ only three. They were 10 of 19 from the foul line. The Blackhawks also had one three and made one of 11 free throw attempts.

The B girls are back in action today (Thursday) when they take a road trip to Lake Crystal.
