Food Service Worker - Full Time

Work Week: 6 hours/day, Approximately 7:00am - 1:00pm, School Days
Student Level: Preschool, K-12
Position Summary:
Preparing, cooking and serving food in accordance with the menu, cleaning and maintaining the kitchen.
Position must be able to follow all rules and regulations.
Work is performed under the supervision of the Food Service Director.
Essential Functions:
Maintains food safety, kitchen cleanliness.
Performs duties of a Cook.
Prepares and serves breads, vegetables, fruits, desserts, salads, soups and other foods.
Sets up serving lines; sets out eating utensils, napkins, condiments, etc.
Cleans work surfaces, eating and food preparation area.
Washes pots, pans, kettles and other cooking utensils.
Sweeps and mops, and trash duty
Demonstrates excellent customer service to students, staff, parents, visitors and the general public.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Education and /or Experience:
High school diploma or GED and moderate experience working in a food service role.

Respect - we are winding down the school year. In the past week we have had reports of disrespectful behavior. This will not be tolerated. If you are one of these students you can do better. If you want to be disrespectful to staff and students there will be consequences. We have started detentions again and you will be assigned detention. We all can do better. Strive to be the best you can be. Finish the year strong!

7th hour study hall students - If you leave the building without checking out you will have detention. For every hour you skip there will be 2 hours detention.

Thank you to all who made the Spring Fling Week a Success. We had 2 competitions going on in the elementary classes and the winners and 2nd place of the food collection will receive an Ice cream party. These 2 classes raised a combined 219 items for the food shelf. The winner was Mr. Skinner’s 5th grade class and in 2nd place was Ms. Welp’s 1st grade class. The student council also did a change wars competition. The winner and 2nd place here will get a freezie party. These 2 classes raised a combined total of $109. First place is Ms. Welp’s 1st grade and 2nd place was Mrs. Lamm’s 4th grade! Thank you everyone that was able to participate. Have a great end of the school year!!!
