Yesterday, at the Large Group Band contest at TCU High School, the 11-12 Concert Band received an Excellent rating and the 9-10 Concert Band received a Superior. This is the first time in Cleveland history that the 9-10 band was given a three star Superior rating.

*The color dress-up day for Thursday is a secret! Your child's teacher will email out the color for the grade level. Each grade level will show up with a different color that day!

Dear Families,
I know many of you are following the weather forecast for the upcoming weekend and wondering about its impact on our school schedule for Monday, March 16. Current predictions indicate a significant winter storm moving into the Cleveland area, with snowfall totals forecasted to range between 6 and 14 inches.
At this time, we are closely monitoring the National Weather Service updates. While we prefer to have our students in the classroom, the safety of our students—especially those who travel on our buses or drive themselves—is our top priority.
Potential Impact on Monday's Schedule
Current models suggest the storm may last into late Sunday night or even early Monday morning. If this occurs, roads may not be clear in time for a safe start to the school day.
A delay or full school closing is possible for Monday, March 16.
In the event of a school closure, we will move to our eLearning Day format of instruction. This would be our second eLearning Day of the 2025-26 school year.
Potential eLearning Day & Cancellations
We have not made a final decision yet. However, I wanted to reach out now so you can begin making necessary childcare or scheduling arrangements should we need to shift to remote learning.
Activities: If we move to an eLearning Day, all after-school activities, athletics, and the SAC (School Age Care) program will be cancelled for the day.
Parents: You can find our full protocols on the school website under the Students tab by selecting eLearning Plan.
Students: If a closure is announced, please check your Google Classroom for specific instructions and assignments from your teachers.
Our staff is prepared to ensure a smooth transition if needed. We will communicate a final decision as soon as possible via our notification system (email, text, and website), typically no later than 5:30 a.m. Monday morning.

All 5 Cleveland Jazz groups received superior ratings at the state contest at GAC on Wednesday. Blue Jazz (the senior group) recorded the best score by a big band and the Cleveland Jazz Combo took home the award the top scoring group at the site.
