Yesterday, our 6th grade students took an exciting and educational field trip to JA BizTown, a Junior Achievement USA program designed for upper elementary students. Prior to the visit, students built a strong foundation at school by learning key economic and career concepts and even conducting interviews to earn the jobs they would hold during the experience.
At BizTown, students stepped into a simulated, student-sized city where they became business owners, employees, and consumers, bringing their classroom learning to life. They practiced financial literacy, work readiness, and entrepreneurship by managing money, creating budgets, making spending and saving decisions, and understanding real-world responsibilities such as taxes, banking, teamwork, and community roles like city hall.
This hands-on, interactive experience gave students a meaningful yet fun look at how a real economy functions while reinforcing the importance of responsibility, collaboration, and smart financial choices.
After a non-conference stretch, the Clipper boys basketball teams are back to Valley Conference action tonight when they head to Trimont to take on Martin County West.

The Clipper girls continue their busy start to the 2026 year with a road game in Arlington to take on Sibley East tonight with B-squad at 5:45 and varsity to follow at 7.

The Cleveland boys basketball teams will be in action today when they host Sleepy Eye St. Mary's. C squad will play at 4:30, with B-squad to follow at 5:45 and varsity at 7. The junior high teams will also be in action as they'll host Tri City United in the middle school gym starting at 4:30 p.m.

The Clippers and Buccaneers will face off today with a full slate of games in Waterville. It will be begin with C-squad boys at 2:45, followed by B-squad girls at 4:15, varsity girls at 5:45, and then varsity boys at 7:15.

Tomorrow's B-squad boys basketball game against Waterville has been cancelled. The C-squad game will now start at 2:45 p.m. with JV girls at 4:15, varsity girls at 5:45, and varsity boys at 7:15.
It's the first action of the new year for the Clipper girls basketball team as they travel to Waseca. The b-squad girls will be in action at 4:00 p.m. with the varsity kicking off at 5:15 p.m.
